This website is for students and instructors alike. As the name indicates, this website addresses possible future societies, primarily through literary works by George Orwell and Aldous Huxley. Brave New World and 1984 propose frightening scenarios for the future. Brave New World Revisited chillingly shows how aspects of the scenarios are now or soon will be in existence. This website addresses each of these three books separately and then ties them together by focusing on the individual within current society. It is through the act of education about the past and the present, that all the members of a society can determine a future different from Huxley's or Orwell's.
